Whether you are interpreting lab measurements in familiar units, converting Kelvin to Fahrenheit by hand is easy to get wrong. This free converter gives you an instant, exact answer — 1 K = -457.87 °F — and runs entirely in your browser.

How to convert Kelvin to Fahrenheit

To convert a value from K to °F, subtract 273.15, multiply by 9/5, then add 32. For example: -423.67 °F equals 20 K converted with the formula, and -279.67 °F equals 100 K. Because the two scales do not share a zero point, a single multiplication factor is not enough — the offset must be applied too.

Going the other way, use the Fahrenheit to Kelvin converter.
