About HandyTools

We make free online tools that run entirely in your browser — private by design, useful by purpose.

Our mission

Most online tools quietly upload your files to a server, keep a copy, or push ads that track you. HandyTools exists to prove it doesn't have to be that way. Every tool on this site is built with plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and all processing happens locally on your own device. Your images, code and text never leave your browser.

What we believe

Who's behind this

HandyTools is maintained by a small independent team of developers who use these tools daily in their own work. We're the first users of everything we ship — if a tool is annoying, we fix it; if a tool is missing, we build it.

How we stay free

Keeping tools free and private costs time and money. In the future we may add non-intrusive advertising or optional paid features to cover costs. Any future monetization will never involve selling or sharing your data — because we never collect it in the first place.
